We educate accountants... that make a difference in the world

For more than 50 years, Faculty of Accountancy UiTM have drawn on their effort for teaching, their experience collaborating with professional bodies worldwide, and the insights gained from their research to educate generations of accountants who have shaped the practice of accounting in every industry in the country and around the world. In ensuring our graduates to be on the top list of big reputable accounting firms and multinational companies, the faculty equipped them not only by having good academic qualification, but coupled with other strengths comprising of excellent interpersonal skills, possessing professional qualification recognised worldwide, acquiring both soft and hard skills relevant to the field and by being seen of having good attributes and qualities such as being ethical.
The Faculty of Accountancy, being one of the earliest faculties in UiTM, has journeyed through more than 50 years and matured into a faculty that has managed to make its presence felt through various mediums. Our journey has proceeded from ealrly diploma courses to encompassing postgraduate, professional and undergraduates programs. Our academics have also become alliances with local and overseas universities as well as professional bodies. With the first LCCI programme introduced in 1956, Faculty of Accountancy have grown to be the leader in Accounting Education with various academic and professional programmes such as Diploma in Accountancy, Diploma in Accounting Information Systems, Bachelor of Accountancy, Master of Accountancy, Master in Forensic Accounting, Master in Corporate Governance, PhD Accounting, CAT, ACCA, CIMA, CPA Australia, MICPA etc. Following the evolvement of the faculty is the establishment of Accounting Research Institute (ARI) in 2005 to coordinate research-related activities. Our recent achievement is the recognition of ARI as one of MOHE's centre of excellence. The harmonious spirit from our members is one of the strengths of our faculty and hopefully, such team spirit will remain throughout the future years.
