The Faculty of Accountancy offers educational opportunities to those who wish to become qualified accountants. The Faculty was established in 1966 with the purpose of developing accountancy programmes. Graduates of the Faculty now hold managerial positions in finance, banking and accounting in various sectors and industries not only in Malaysia but also in the international arena.

THE ASSOCIATION OF CHARTERED CERTIFIED ACCOUNTANTS (ACCA) (UK)

OVERVIEW

The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) is the global professional accounting body offering the Chartered Certified Accountant qualification (ACCA or FCCA). The ACCA qualification is recognized as equivalent to degree level by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA). An ACCA member is then qualified to apply for the Malaysian Institutes of Accountants (MIA) membership.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

UNIVERSITY :

Passed SPM / equivalent with at least 5 (FIVE) credits including Bahasa Melayu/Malaysia.
Pass in History subject.

PROGRAMME :

Diploma in Accountancy /Diploma in Accounting Information Systems from UiTM or from other higher education institutions recognised by the government of Malaysia with a CGPA of at least 3.00 OR
A Degree in Accountancy/Finance/Investment from UiTM or from other higher education institutions recognised by the government of Malaysia with a CGPA of at least 2.75 OR
Final semester ACCA FIA/full CAT result from other higher education institutions recognised by the government of Malaysia with an average score of 60% OR
UiTM Foundation/UM Science Foundation/Matriculation with a CGPA of at least 3.50 with minimum B+ in Mathematics and MUET Band 3 OR
A Level with at least A in 2 (TWO) subjects including Mathematics

AND

Pass Entry Point Assessment and Interview.
