The Faculty of Accountancy offers educational opportunities to those who want to be qualified accountants and who wish to excel in their accounting careers. The Faculty was established in 1956 with the purpose of developing accountancy programmes at the semi-professional levels. Graduates of the Faculty now hold high-esteemed managerial positions in finance, banking and accounting in various sectors, not only in Malaysia but also overseas.
Graduate Accounting Department (GAD) is an academic department within the Faculty of Accountancy, University Technology MARA (UiTM). The postgraduate programme started in 1996 with Master of Accountancy, a joint programme between UiTM and Curtin University of Technology, Australia. GAD currently offers 3 Master programmes and 1 PhD programme. In line with UiTM's goal of achieving Research University status by 2010 and the Faculty's quality objectives, GAD aspires towards producing high quality graduates, competitive at both national and international levels.
Our facilities include fully air-conditioned and technology-enabled classrooms. Currently, we have over 40 qualified PhD lecturers to teach and supervise the post-graduate students. GAD also works closely with the Accounting Research Institute within the Faculty where research resources are made easily accessible to postgraduate students.
