Corporate Social Responsibility research cluster was established with the primary aim to inculcate research culture and promote research works on areas related to corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability development. This cluster is strategically positioned under the umbrella of the Asia-Pacific Centre of Excellence for Sustainability, also known as APCeS. It is a research center initiated by the Faculty of Accountancy with ACCA Malaysia, a leading international professional accountancy body dedicated to sustainability-business related issues.


The primary focus of CSR research cluster is twofold:

  1. To carry out research and analysis on a wide range of economic, social and environmental related practices.
  2. To share knowledge and promote understanding about CSR-related issues.


This research cluster also focuses on the following targets:

  1. To promote and create awareness on the importance of CSR to various stakeholder groups through research, capacity building, sharing of information and exchanges of experiences via various platforms including forums, dialogues, seminars and conferences.
  2. To undertake collaborative CSR-related research with other Faculties/Centers/Universities/ Organizations.
