Kuala Lumpur : Amcorp Group Berhad (Amcorp), in collaboration with Yayasan Azman Hashim (YAH) awarded the Amcorp Study Grant to 2 high achieving young Malaysians, namely Ms. Olivia Francis and Ms. Nur Syazwani Bt Amir Mohd Bakhtiar to pursue their ACCA studies. A signing ceremony to officiate the scholarship award was held at RCE Capital Berhad (RCE) (a subsidiary of Amcorp Group Berhad) today. Encik Shahman Azman, Chairman of RCE Capital Berhad and Mr. Loh Kam Chuin, Chief Executive Officer of RCE Capital Berhad witnessed the signing ceremony which was attended by parents of the ASG recipients and other officials from both Amcorp and RCE.

The Amcorp Study Grant (ASG), a scholarship cum education loan scheme totaling RM70,000 per recipient was established in 2011 by Amcorp in collaboration with YAH, a non-profit charitable institution founded by Tan Sri Azman Hashim to offer financial assistance to talented students pursuing the ACCA qualification within the country. The ASG is funded by Amcorp, RCE Capital Berhad and Amcorp Properties Berhad (another subsidiary of Amcorp) collectively.
During the ceremony, En. Shahman Azman presented a cheque of RM20,000, being the first instalment of the RM70,000 ASG scholarship, to each of the recipients.
Olivia Francis aged 20, is currently pursuing her ACCA qualification at Methodist College Kuala Lumpur whereas Nur Syazwani, also 20, is studying at UiTM Shah Alam.
After the ASG recipients complete and graduate from ACCA, they will enjoy the benefit of employment opportunities with Amcorp Group of companies, which is recognized as an Approved Employer – Platinum Level by ACCA, United Kingdom.
To date, 10 bright students, including Olivia and Nur Syazwani have benefited from the ASG scholarship. Currently, 2 of the 10 ASG recipients have graduated and are employed as Executives with Amcorp Group.
